I have a John Deere 410 backhoe. It has a standard bucket on the front and of course the backhoe on the back. I want to make it more 'all around' useful and am considering adding a thumb to the backhoe.
I have also gotten pretty spoiled with the usefulness of my tractor, as far as being able to use multiple implements with it, and now I'd like to do that with the larger backhoe as well, for things that are too big for my current tractor.
Is it possible to convert my backhoe front end loader to a skidsteer mount type bracket, and run skidsteer type implements off the front of it?
For instance, if I found a good deal on a used hydraulic brush mower, a large hydraulic snowblower, or could rent a mulcher from someone, could I use those on my backhoe?
My hydraulics are closed center and rated at 30gpm at 2500psi. Would I be able to run skidsteer type implements with the proper hydraulic connections?
My lift capacity is 5300 lbs. I really like the idea of putting a mulcher on the front of it but that is probably asking a bit much.
