Tonight, we had an adult and juvenile barred owl (hoot owl) roosting in a tree. My son heard the juvenile screech begging. I got a flashlight and we stood under the tree admiring them for twenty minutes.

Here is a picture of the adult. The young bird cannot be seen in this picture.
