Solenoid on injector pump on nh tc 40d

HAs anyone replaced the solenoid on injector pump on nh tc 40d. Can you change it without taking pump off and do you have to bleed the lines after doing it. This is a 2002 nh tc 40 d. This is a one wire hookup solenoid. I have checked the voltage to the solenoid and it is working.

There should be no need to take off the pump to replace the fuel shut off solenoid. If it's working why replace it?

The solenoid simply threads into the block. It has no connection to any fuel passages, so no bleeding is required when removing and/or installing. A pair of channel locks will usually break it loose.

It only works part of the time, I have to grab where wire hook and move it and then it works

Hoot, have you checked for voltage at the wire terminal when it does work and when it doesn't? Wiggling the connector makes me suspect a broken wire or bad wire-to-terminal connection.

I have 12 volts when I turn key on.
