I was just after sun down when I was happily scalping and rutting my property
with the brush hog, when I happened to look down at my exhaust pipe.
Every now and then, I noticed several sparks exiting the exhaust?
(JD 855)
The whole reason I was cutting the brush was to reduce the potential fire danger.
Now I'm worried about causing a fire with the tractor?
I assumed it was probably carbon being blown out but I'm not sure.
Is this normal, is this carbon?
Was there ever a spark arrestor on these tractors?
Should I be worried?
Any thoughts?
