Getting back to the original question... I am in a similar position as I am going down to use my late father's L2800HST which hasn't been run since August. It has a full tank of summer fuel so I am bringing my siphon hose, an empty diesel can and one full of winter grade fuel; my bottle of white Power Service which I will leave there, and a bottle of Bioclean. Also my booster cables although I won't need them.
It's in the unheated barn cellar which stays surprisingly warmer than the outside temps, although not above freezing. The temp isn't supposed to be above 20 degrees F that day but I don't expect any problems running it. It will take me about 2 hours to get the driveways plowed, so it will be good exercise for the tractor.
