Thanks Teg I figured it was a valid link. I even went to the CPSC site and searched there for Stihl Gas caps and had several hits on that but not the correct one. I like the Stihl Easy open caps on their chainsaws. Most of my saws take a scrench to open which is usually not where I am.

You should be receiving a notice via USPS with the details. Mine arrived on Wednesday. My backpack blower and pole saw were covered. I did not see anything regarding chainsaws.

I went to the dealer today and he said it would be a couple weeks until the new caps came in.

Just received a notice in the mail today... one of my pole trimmers and blowers are covered. Will be anxious to see how easy it will be to actually receive the new caps... will check with dealer Monday.

Why no replacement on the chainsaws. They leak the same gas.

Might be different caps on chainsaws...........Chainsaws are not listed on the recall.

Called my dealer today ,he had new caps and it would take about 5 min to change cap and to check gas tank for leaks.
Planning on taking my down on Sat.
