I have a ms290 that I use to cut all my firewood with. When I realized it's a bit under sized to buck up big hardwood I bought a well used ms460 and use a 28in bar on it. I have cut 36in red oak with it. I wouldnt want anything smaller for large hardwood bucking. But the ms460 is way to heavy to be cutting limbs off a tree. How the ms460 compaires to the ones the OP listed I have no clue. The ms460 was within my budget and has served me well for many years..granted I only cut about 5cord a year. I live in the notheast but have also cut a fair amount of large white pine with it.
