What you see sticking out of the hood is the precleaner. The actual air cleaner is under the hood.

That's what I was looking at was below the hood.

G'day your local bare co dealer will be able to supply you with an op man and a workshop manual aftermarket for ALOT less than you will get them from massey (genuine manuals are normally big$$$$ over here). Good luck with it they are a pretty sturdy little tractor.

Thanks everyone - I've got a fair bit to do!

Just for info, the 135 has had its first serious workout now, Last weekend it had two days of fencing to earn its keep and the old girl did us proud - runs like a charm - the rear hydraulics are a bit fiddly but will come with practice.

So, next stage is to get those manuals

You may have a 68 model but it looks different than my 68.

It's a U.K. model, common in Australia, Canada, and other countries including of course the U.K. (duh). They're easy to distinguish from the U.S.A. models by the location of the air cleaner, headlights, and 135 emblems.
