I've had one since 1999. It has now got about 600+ hours on it. It's equipped with the 54" deck and grass collection system. Works like a champ and has never had any problems. I used to keep 5 acres mowed with it before I got the B2910 to do the majority of the yard. I've replace a few belts and that's about it. Can't remember what it cost, but since it was about $600 more for the diesel vs the gas version. I didn't think they were still making the TG 1860.

The TG1860 is still a current model. The TG1860A is the diesel and the TG1860GA is the gas machine.

I looked at the TG series and decided that since I wanted a snowblower to step on up to the BX1500 for a few bucks more and have hydrostatic steering, 4 wheel drive, 3PH and other nice features.

I also have a TG1860G. Bought last summer after trying out it, a ztr, and a couple of other riding mowers. Liked the power steering and stability.

I hardly use it, mostly my niece does. I stick to the L.

Good Luck,
Neil.

I just traded my TG1860 Diesel with 54 inch mower for a BX. It had lots of power and gave me no trouble. One thing to note is that the deck is not shaft drive. Excellent machine if you just want to cut grass.

Thanks to all, I was looking to replace a Craftsman mower and a Cub 125. I already have a BX22 but it's not set up for mowing. After seeing how big (and $) the TG is I think I will keep the Craftsman, and use the BX for the things I use to use the Cub for. Guess I can get rid of the Cub.
