Mine is tied to a rope thrown over a rafter in my pole barn. It just hangs there, so attaching it is easy because you can move it around and don't need to back up perfect. If I stored it outside I would find a good branch and store it the same way to keep it off the ground.

I use the same method as Henro, except I use a 1" rachet strap. A couple wraps around the top tube holds it fine. And mine hangs there year round............

This is with the digger hanging and also a spare auger storage.

This is ultra easy to hook up.

If more info is wanted, I will be glad to go into more detail.
