I'm just re-familiarizing myself with the Kubota Grand L's, and saw that the 3540 has an optional 3rd fxn valve on the loader. I'd like to be able to operate a hydraulic PHD, and was wondering if that valve is sufficient. I know the Long version says it is only for a 4n1, and not for motors, and was wondering if that was also true of the Kubota. Is the 3rd function a lower flow valve?
If the Kubota 3rd fxn won't work for a bucket mounted auger, then I assume I'll need a remote valve (or two?).
The build your own fxn lists a lot of valve options. Is there somewhere I can read up on these? A search didn't turn up any threads to help explain the difference between 1) FD with lever kit and 1) Standard valve with lever kit, or a combination of FD and Standard valves. I am not even sure what FD means.
Thanks,
Todd
