The First Choice tillers are made by Sicma.
Sicma also makes tillers for:
  • John Deere
  • Bush Hog
  • Woods
  • Kioti
  • Farm-Maxx
  • Phoenix
  • King Cutter-XB series has a modified Sicma ZLL transmission
Paul that post of mine is years old by now and the list has changed and so have some of the companies names changed. Maletti is now owned by Kverneland. The First Choice marketing name is fading away and will be replaced with Farm-Maxx & Phoenix.

Well, then time for you to update it...so I can file it away AGAIN...:D

Not to beat a dead tiller...
I got a 48" KK II tiller from TSC 3 weeks ago for $1289.

I tilled the lower lawn (weed plot 3000 sq ft) in less than an hour in one pass. It cut so well that there was nothing to rake out. The gear drive was quiet and smooth. It's the most fun I've had rototilling in a long time.

No doubt, I may be in need of better excitement in my life...

Maletti/Kverneland makes most of the Woods tillers.
