I have decided a tiller from CCM is the way to go after emailing Mark Carter. They have a 66" tiller or a 72" tiller. I have a Kubota L3830 with HST. Any folks with tillers able to comment on the ability of this relatively small tractor (31 PTO HP) ability to run this width of tiller. The 72" would be as wide as the tires, but I am not familiar with PTO tillers and what it takes power wise to operate one. Another question which I suppose will depend on soil types is how long the blades last. My soil which is primarily decomposd granite and is particularly easy to break up when moist but wears my 8HP Troybilt tiller tines pretty fast. I suppose the same would be true for a 3 point hitch tiller.
