Can any farmers help?
Broke the pickup drive belt last year on my 565 baler.....discovered the knotter clutch was messed up when I went to replace the belt... FINALY got new clutch...installed it today...can anyone give me step by step instructions on checking and retiming... or better yet upload relevant pages from a manual? (Hay window coming...would love to know baler is 100% before cutting....)

Baler timing should be outlined in 565 operators manual. I can't help on timing NH baler as I've always owned a JD small sq baler & I could time those in my sleep.

I just had a thought post your 565 timing question on Haytalk.com. I'll bet Mike10 or some other member can tell you how to time it.

I don’t have pictures but there is 3 dots on each piece make sure they are lined up. And there is 2 lines that the plunger should be centered between

Where you pull the gears apart to put the belt on. Is where your dots are.

10 degrees before top dead center should be good. measured at full RPM.

I never heard degrees utilized in small sq baler timing nor would I know how that could be performed. I've been repairing small sq balers since the late 1960's.
