Perhaps that's why it was "discount". Sorry for your problem. I got mine locally and so far, working out fine.

Sounds like a poorly trained employee made your hoses. No excuse. The connection systems used today by hydraulic shops really should be virtually leakproof if a competent individual uses the correct components and press.
I agree IT. I ordered R16 hose instead of the more commonly used R2 because it has a smaller minimum bend radius. The R16 OD is 0.08" smaller. I'm guessing that the crimping die was adjusted incorrectly. I got two other R16 assemblies that I haven't installed. I think I'll send them back for testing as well.
