Toolcat and V417

Thanks for keeping up on this thread. It's pretty interesting to see what both of these machines are capable of.

I got my F series ordered and it should be in next week. Went for all the options except the road package and PTO. I will be selling my B series which has a PTO. I haven't used it but had been thinking about getting a PTO generator. I can add a PTO later if I need one.

Congrats! I've never looked at them, so maybe this is a dumb question, but is the PTO a hydraulic package or bolt on?

On the B series, the PTO was a bolt on package that took advantage of the rear hydraulics. Had hydraulic hookups (tractor style) and a PTO. I don't have any pull behind implements so I only use it when I turn the PTO on and run fluid through the connections. It's pretty cool as I've seen a pull behind 7' mower that hydraulically raises and lowers to the cutting height or transport height. I have a brushcat and finish mower for it so never bought anything pull behind. I like the B series but I'm upgrading to take advantage of the section 179 and get a smoother riding suspension.

We need an update, please.

Did you stay with a 5600?

I haven't used the PTO on my 5610 either.

This is the tallest tree that I have pulled so far, measured 24' tall, pulled it on 4-9-2015.

It grew right next to the oak tree behind the V417. Grabbed it high enough to bend it over, breaking the roots on one side, then drove forward while extending the boom.
