It appears to be a flex coupler, possibly driving a front mounted hydraulic pump..?? Definitely need a new yoke, and flex couple discs. If it was taken apart in the past, looks like the bolt may not have been tightened enough, and allowed to work enough to shear the bolt, and break the flange. Or, too tight, and partially twisted the bolt off, until metal fatigue took its toll, and the bolt broke.

Thanks for the info!

The rubber disks are in the transmission drawing:

Currently working on the engine to transmission drive coupling assembly on my 1996 Toro 223D. Model 30223 serial 60001-69999 I am having issues figuring out how it's supposed to go together.

I got new rubber couplings 115-4523. I can't get the assembled drive shaft back in the space available.

The installation instructions are kind of vague. No torque specs. For the rubber coupling to drive pulley. Are you supposed to tighten it all the way down until the spacer couplers 125-9249 are tight ? Compressing the rubber coupling?

Any thoughts and advice would be nice. I don't want to get it jammed in there too tight and mess things up.
Thanks.
I posted on this thread as I thought the OP might have a similar issue
