Tractor 4WD 20-30HP w/ 72" deck

Builder, the larger "B" series Kubotas will take a 72" mmm, and there are plenty of used decks, and used tractors that size around here in good condition. So a used B7800, B2710, B2910, or new B3200, B2630, or B3030 would fit your needs for the larger deck. These are the smallest, and most nimble, and probably most inexpensive tractors that take a deck that large that I am aware of. Even the smaller B's like mine only take a 60" mmm. The JD 2210, 2305, Massey GC series, and Kubota BX series are all about the same price as most of the JD X700 series and take the same size decks. The X700 basic 2wd is more inexpensive though.

I'm doing a side by side comparison of the X748 and the 2210 today at the Deere dealer. Both are 4WD with turfs and MMM. The 2210 has a 72".

The 2210 was Never offered with the 72" MMM, only the 54c and 62c decks. If that is indead what it has-it's not standard.

Why not look for a slightly used zero turn? it will mow faster and better than a tractor. and fall well below your $10 limit. You stated you already have a tractor.

I think Simplicity has a pretty impressive "super" garden tractor that I believe fits your requirements, I don't have the details on me anymore.

The first thing I thought of was a Bobcat CT120 with this summer's pricing (too late) and a JD 2305 (but I forgot to add the cost of the MMM). Should be too easy if you go used.

Builder,
Let us know about the X748, I, for one would be interested in a review of that model.
