Tractor
John Deere 5310
I have a JD 5310 Tractor that’s been losing power to the wheels after running normally for half an hour or so. The tractor sat all winter and I just started using it today. After running normally for a while, even though the tractor is in gear, the transmission loses power & the wheels don’t turn. Engine runs fine (& it runs while in gear but tractor doesn’t move). The clutch has pressure (no change from previous years) and works in terms of shifting gears. Is this the hydraulic fluid screen issue that people have mentioned (~ the hydraulic screen gets dirty or blocked; once the screen is cleaned the tractor works normally) or would you still suspect the clutch, or possibly something else? Thanks for your advice.

What transmission do you have it looks like Deere offered 3 different transmission for that tractor.
The first two that issue would be a clutch, the third it could be the clutch or a clutch pack losing hydraulic pressure.
9-speed unsynchronized gear
9-speed partially synchronized
12-speed power shuttle

Is the clutch adjusted correctly with some free-play at the top? Are all the clutch shafts/pivots free from sticking and lubed so they are able to release fully?
