I ussually don't post photo's of my projects but this one was at my house. I had a large sycamore tree measured 68 inches across the trunk in the narrowest spot and about 12 inches more at the wides.

I used a 60 foot 4x4 lift, b26 with grapple I made, several husky saws and help of some good friends. it took about 6 hours to completely cut and clean up. I burned most of the brush and wood. The trunk has been in the burn pile for some time. It took all my truck had to drag the trunk.

We had no damage to house or buildings, I have more photo's on my other computer I will post tommorow, they show the lift all the way up and it was not near as tall as the tree.

Awesome, bet you'll sleep a little sounder during high winds.

Dropped about a dozen firs here about 3 years back and still enjoying the reaps as new.

Nice!!! Great job!!! If you don't mind me asking, how much did the aerial lift rental cost? We might have to rent one ourselves at some point...

He's the saftey guy:laughing:

The lift was the cheap part the fuel to move it out here cost more than renting the lift.

Here is a picture of the grapple, its seen lots of use since I built it, its a real back saver.
