Oil & Fuel Unbelievable fuel economy

   / Unbelievable fuel economy #11
I have a YM1301D with a loader. The first time I used it for loader work, I ran it for about 8 hours and used 1.5 gal of fuel. When I mow the lawn, it takes about 3/4 of an hour and uses about a cup of fuel.

By the way, all of the Yanmar tractor models I have seen:
YM1110D, YM1301D, YM1401D, F13D, F14D, F15D, YM1510D, YM1500D, YM2210D, YM1601D, YM1610D, YM1702D, YM1300D were indirect injection.

Re: Unbelievable fuel economy-DI vs. IDI

What about mine, YM 1700, with thermostart. Is it direct, or indirect, no glow plug??

Hmmmm..... My 1401D most definitely does not have glow plugs but according to an above post it is indirect injection. Are Yanmars an exception to this rule?

I didn't think any Yanmar used glowplugs. Anybody know for sure?
