Water line

The driveway may see a deeper frost depth.

Consider running the line under driveway a couple of feet deeper than normal and attach a heat tape to it. If you do end up with a problem there is a way to thaw it out.:thumbsup:

Uh- the first 55 years of misspent youth were spent near Edmonton Alberta.

So why would I want to sleeve it in to a pipe?
There's another advantage to putting the water pipe in the sleeve. When I ran our water line from our well to our house shown here, I put a 3" PVC sleeve in the trench where the water line crossed our driveway. If we ever need to fix or replace the pipe, we won't have to tear up the driveway. We could just pull the old pipe out of the sleeve and replace it with a new pipe. Right now our driveway is gravel so digging across the driveway would not be a big deal. But if we ever pave or concrete the driveway, I won't have to worry about ever needing to tear up the pavement/concrete to fix a water pipe.
