Motorboats are fun, but this is what I do for relaxation:

(Souris River Quetico 16 kevlar canoe soloed with a 210cm kayak paddle on the Missouri River. Ahhhh...)

I never did the Kakak thing, but when we where kids (Lived in Harrison Ark then) we would float in canoes while fishing, lake Taneycomo, Buffalo river and the White river.

And that is the main reason I never went to seadoo.

Funny thing is I bought it the fall of 1996 as a demo from the dealer. The following year I blew the engine 3 times. The exhaust to manifold bolts kept shearing and breaking. Water would feed back to the cylinder and hydro lock. I would bring it in they would give me a loner for three weeks. The forth time I blew it up, it was on my dollar as warranty was up. I was in the military at the time making next to nothing for income so there was no way I was paying $1800+taxes to rebuilt it from the dealer. Long story short I rebuilt it myself and found the true reason why the exhaust bolts kept breaking. The engine mounts were bad, so the engine would torque and twist between the pump and the firmly mounted exhaust. Something had to give and it was those bolts. Anyway the machine ran flawlessly for 9 years until I forgot to reinstall the cap on the oil injection tank. All the oil leaked out and burnt the engine. Not at all bombardier fault, user ( or loser) error. I just need a wisco wk1298 piston kit and it would be ready to go.

Two right now. A 15 foot xpress, newer boat but with my 97 model 25 horse Johnson 2 stroke. Avery blind on it. Use it for small water fishing and duck hunting.

Probably about a 2004 or 2005 Tracker 17 1/2 foot with a 60 horse Mercury 2 stroke. It rides nice use it for fishing.

Wife wants a pontoon but have kept her happy by just renting one a couple of times a year (my favorite kind of boat is a rented boat).

How do you like the pontoons? I've only been on one once and that was a long time ago.

Love it. Pontoon boat in the South is the equivalent of a yacht on the coast. Float, swim, eat, drink, fish, pull a tube and more. A 24 to 28 footer is ideal boat for a family.

Missouri and Arkansas are both blessed with some of the best floating streams in the world.
