and left me a NICE King Kutter II 5ft rototiller in the driveway! I guess he had to ship it a bit early cause I doubt it would fit in his sleigh lol. Rudolph and gang would have gotten a hernia toting that 700 lbs around!
Picked this up off of my local craigslist actually. The guy posted the ad a week ago with no pictures. I hesitated because he was asking $1200, which I thought was too much for a used one. But, yesterday I sent him an email with my phone # and he called back pretty quick. He was anxious to sell, it's Christmas time, the clutch just went on his truck, and I was the ONLY PERSON to inquire about it. He explained he bought it new 3 years ago and had used it all of about 6-7 times and it still looked fairly new. So I took him at his word and offered $900 cash over the phone, if it was as good as he described it. He said if I came and got it today, he would take $900 so off I went.
Upon arrival at his place (which was only about a 20 mile drive from my house), I was pleasantly surprised to find that it looked BETTER than he described so I was happy with giving him $900 for it! Heck, there's still yellow paint on the tines so I believe he was telling the truth.
We had a heck of time loading it on my small trailer with his 8N, but finally after some head scratching we got it on my trailer. My tractor is like 70 miles from here, so I couldn't just haul it over there to load it with. The 8N would NOT lift it at all with the boom pole, so we wound up having to hook it to the 3pt and I backed my trailer up under it very carefully. Now, I can't will TILL spring gets here lol.
