These are the serial numbers for the Farmall A and B. The number listed is the first serial number for that year. You can use the list to determine the tractor's model year.

501 1939
6744 1940
41500 1941
80739 1942
none 1943
96390 1944
113218 1945
146700 1946
1982964 1947

Example: Mine is 142748 which makes it a 1945 model.

Polecat what year is that Farmall?

Yup, Mine's a '41. Serial FAA46241, engine cast 12-11-J, for late '40 casting.

Dad's got a 1949 that's soon to be hitting the market - as soon as I get a new machine.

om21braz, Yep, I thought I would sell the farmall too once I got my "real" tractor. However, now I think I will use it as a dedicated mower. That way I don't have to take the BH off just to mow trails and roads. I think I need another lean-to.
Do you think Polecat will ever find the SN?
