why are the hydraulic cables/connectors different colors from 2320 to FEL

Just had my tractor delivered and noticed that my tractor connectors are yellow/silver/black/green and my FEL cables are yellow/black/blue/red. How do I know which to connect to which?

JD has been using the Green/Yellow/Black/Silver colors for YEARS, I have never seen the ones you listed before...Does the loader manual give any insight?

That was news to me, too. But evidently it is common. Here are 200CX and 430 loader pics from the manuals.

blue goes to green and red goes to silver. dealer told me the colors on the tractors will be changed to match by fall.

I find it interesting that even where the colors match, the function is not always the same. Yellow is bucket cylinder head-end on 200cx, and is bucket cylinder rod-end on 430. Black is bucket cylinder rod-end on 200cx, and is lift cylinder rod-end on 430.

My 2305 have the same colors as yours, as well as the bucket.
Just remember blue-green and red-silver. Have fun!

Use a center punch and make dots to identify the compatible hoses. :thumbsup:

I used colored zip ties

My 2009 JD 3520 has the same colour scheme : red blue black yellow for the FEL. Green is used for the outlets at the back.
