Winter Storm of Feb 1-3

Lots of seat time after this last storm Eh! I managed to get off the shoulder of the road today. The more I tried to get out, the further she went towards the woods. Had to get a Payloader to pull me out. Here are some pics of the fun I had today. Beauty Eh?

I spent about two hours cleaning my drive this afternoon, it's about 600' long. I did one smart thing, I bought some goggles, but I really need a face mask, which I don't have. I actually had some ice frozen on my cheek. Right now at 7:50pm, I'd say it's snowing 2" or more an hour. I can't even tell how much we've got, it's so windy.
Anyone ever try one of these,a glorified grinding mask.

I cleared about 11" around my yard today. This Frontier snowblower is really something else. This snowfall gave it a great workout and it liked it.!! And, my neck and back are getting used to the crookedness of the process with a 3pt. blower.

Today's weather was mid 20's, no wind, full sun. Just a gorgeous afternoon for about 2 hours of quality seat time, making the tractor really work.

Life is good mon.!!

p.s. I lost my camera in the snow bank...hooking a chain onto a vehicle that was off the road. Otherwise, pictures would be posted. New camera this weekend.??....

I did not fix my big old junk Plow truck last year. I have to use my L39 with 6' Bucket.

Slow and cold.

I have been beating the poor tractor up for hours on end. Really scary hitting a frozen boulder, etc.

I figured I have piled the equivalent of a 8' high x 25' wide x 350-400' long pile clearing out the farm and drive. That is 1500 -1800 Cubic yards of snow. Clearing a paddock or parking area is not so bad, but clearing 1400 Road with a tractor is slow going, an angle blade works much better.

I thought I was rough on the tractor moving 1200 yards of dirt I dug from my two small ponds with my excavator, but at least with the ponds I have something to show for the wear and tear.

I'd rather be skiing.

Only about 8" total. Enough to get a little seat time in but not enough to give any problems. Nothing like watching the white stuff fly deep into the woods on a nice sunny day.
