Hey tractor folks!!

Can you people give me some feedback on the following prices I am getting from a dealer...
2004 rental return L4330 GST-$18350.
853 loader-$5780.
Gearmore 2G2-72 hyd scraper-$3950.

Kubota 42" Quick Forklift kit-$1100.
Bush Hog SQ72- $1550.

Costruction Attachment 67"extreme duty 4in1 bucket with 1 touch valve kit-$3900.
Any info on this will be much appreciated.

I can't help at all on the price but... if it's a Rental Return, not exactly what that means, but usually once equipment becomes a piece of rental equipment factory warranties are voided. You may want to check that on a 2004 machine.

Also check the hours and see if it was serviced as recommeded and has doumentation to back that and any repair work.

Looks to me that on the tractor you are getting a discount, quite close but quite as much as a lot of dealers give on a new piece of equipment. The loader is way overpriced, considering that you have the bucket listed as an additional piece of equipment. The attachments, I do not know the pricing on.

Thanks for the feedback.....sorry I did not explain the rental return aspect of the deal. The dealer is in the wine country of NOrthern California, where they lease tractors with no implements to tow trailers at harvest time. Tractors have less than 150 hours. Dealer says full factory warranty is applicable.
I began negotiations on a L3830 for which he gave me a $4500 discount off of list, then I decided I want a four cylinder so bumped up to the L4330 model for which he said the increase in cost will be an additional $2900. Also the loader size changed to the 853 which he added $300 onto the 723 price he'd quoted. I found the list pricing from one year ago which indicates the list price then was just over $21000 for the L4330 and that a buyer can expect a 18% discount which comes out to less than the rental return price the guy is quoting. The implement prices he is quoting seem high, especially for the 4in1 bucket?? I really like the dealer and would like to do business with him, but I am thinking he is taking me for a ride, so to speak. Reading through this website I am seeing that in different areas of the country there is different pricing, maybe Mendocino county prices are just higher, I don't know.
Thanks again for your thoughts.

Sounds like the pricing is a bit high to me but then most things in your area seemed high to me when I lived in San Fran. Take a look at CarverEquipment.com, they had list prices and some rental return prices on there site as a reference.

Thanks MarkV...
Yeah, reading this website, and looking around at other info, I'm getting that drift. Guess it comes with the territory, it's gotten amazingly upscale in the bay area and north in recent times.
Thank you for your words.

I found when pricing a 3130 here in calif unless you are willing to travel out of state, dont look at out of state prices. you will only drive your self crazy.I found know one who would come close to the prices listed on the net. most of the prices i was quoted on returns were only 800$ less than new.[got a new one] Good luck.

If you're in the wine country, then a trip to Oregon could save you some big bucks if you can pay cash. Prices are lower and there's no sales tax. You can find some names of dealers on this thread:

A couple of years ago I was commonly seeing 72" brush hogs for $699.
