How do I check the fluid level? The fill cap on the axle has a 6L sticker on it, is that volume? It seems like a lot. There is no dipstick I can find and would I use gear lube or hydraulic oil? A thin clear oil is leaking from the front hub that seems to he hydraulic oil, not gear lube. Thanks.
also, is there a hydraulic oil filter or screen on the main system? This is a 1983 model

Look for a screen near the bottom of the reservoir. There should be a removal plate on the side of the reservoir opposite the suction tube for the hydraulic pump.
6 liters sounds like too much for the front axle. My YM2002D manual says 3.9 QTS (3.7 liters) for its front axle (I would think it would be larger than your 1301D’s).
Hoye tractors and Fredrick’s would be my top sources for parts and manuals for an YM import tractor.
