YM135D Air Filter Housing.

Hello,

I have recently acquired my grandfathers Yanmar YM135D. When he had it he kept it so clean you almost eat off it. He has been gone for many years now and it has been through a rough life since then falling into disrepair and rusting. I have been spending Many hours repairing and repainting it to make it look like it did when my grandfather was alive.

That being said, I have hit a snag and the internet, Ebay, and local stores are of no help so far. The air cleaner housing is beyond repair between rust and damage. I was able to salvage the pre-cleaner and the bottom cap though. If anyone knows where I can find another housing whether it is used, lightly damaged, or at least repairable I would be appreciative. I have not found any cross reference for this air cleaner yet either but it seems to be common on a lot of Yanmar models.

Here are a few pics of the rebuild so far. I am looking for part #2 on the diagram.

Yes I did. They said they don't have any. I got a bunch of my parts from them though.

That's a Donaldson style air cleaner - maybe cloned from Donaldson. Various versions of that are widely used.

You should be able to buy similar and adapt, if necessary.

I had played around on their site and couldn't find anything that really matched what I have (there is a TON of stuff on there). I'd like to keep it original looking if at all possible.

Apparently the 135 may have 2 separate air cleaners. A pre cleaner and a Reg. type Air filter. I'm not very familiar with the 135 and thought it was different looking it up. Fredricks should know what or which one you have. Or both? Reg. air filter is AF-2710 Precleaner filter is AF-6270. So somethings up no doubt with which one or what you have and then when you do know for sure they may have it. Or we will know what to look for.........

Hoye even showing both filters Southern Global only the Pre cleaner. So they should be able to help us move to finding which or what you have.

I am not looking for the actual filter, I am looking for the metal housing it goes inside of and connects to the intake. My precleaner was salvageable so I am good there as well. I need the part inside the red square in this picture. (picture is just off the web,not my actual tractor)

Got you now. That maybe a hard find. There's a man on CL. ATL. Ga. Farm and Garden that post a wide range of different parts. May try him. He has parts/tractors he doesn't list. The YM1500 has a side mounted air cleaner also 2cyl 15hp. your 13hp so they are about the same. Just a Automotive type filter setup.
