Well, the rumors have come true it seems... Case IH now has a line of compact tractors based on the NH boomers. I heard the rumor that there would be a line of red boomers as early as 1998... these photos were taken at the American Farm Bureau Federation's 82nd Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida, January 7-10, 2001...

I heard the model line would be the DX series, or something like that. I don't have any details other than the two photos above... as you can see, they look exactly like NH boomers, only red...
Assumiong they are on display, I'll get all the information possible at the NY Farm Show later this month, along with a lot of photos of the tractors.
Considering that the models may just be red boomers, and that it is Case IH that we're talking about (the other half of the largest tractor company in the world, Case-New Holland) I think there may now be the 'big 4' ... not just the 'big 3' manufacturers. Maybe something like what Mercury is to Ford, or something.
