I just bought some land in the mountains and need to clear some of the trees and do minor dirt work. I bought the 1510d with a box blade and I was very impressed at the performance of this small tractor. It is like a small dozer and never gives me any trouble and no oil leaks anywhere, I couldn't imagine a large Yanmar, great tractors!
Pros: Extra tough tractor in general.

Yanmar 1510D with a FEL
Model Year: 1975
Great little tractor. Built very well and is very reliable with one issue. These tractors were designed to be used in rice paddy farming. The have a three speed PTO with the highest speed being direct or engine RPM. The high speed was used to run a rice huller. They were never designed to take a serious load on the front axle. They have a unique ring and pinion arrangement at the outboard hub. This allows the tractor to turn in nearly it's own radius. It also makes the front axle rather delicate. With an after market FEL the axle is tremendously overloaded and will not hold up to any use other than very light work. Parts to repair the axle once it's has broken are nearly non existent. The manufacturer no longer carries new gear sets or housings and all the salvage yards have been stripped clean years ago for the same reason.
Pros: Great little tractor, shuttle shift , high speed PTO.
Cons: Weak front axle is not suitable for FEL work.
