1910 Ford
Couldn't Live Without It
Model Year: 1987

I have 60 acres and use it plowing, mowing, getting firewood with the grand kids, and tilling . I am partially disabled and I could not live without it. Sometimes I wish it was a little bigger but, it hasn't failed me yet.

Pros: Reliable.
Cons: Wish I had a cab in the winter.

An Amazing Product - Ford 1910
Model Year: 1983

This tractor was my first experience with a diesel tractor. All of my earlier tractors were small Ford gas burners and I had come to admire how simple the design was and how few tools you needed to work on them. I am still using the 1910 and so far the only parts I have replaced on the machine in 30 years of use has been the clutch and the water pump just this year. We have a big yard, almost 3 acres and I can cut the grass with the tractor and a finishing mower for less diesel money than I can with a push gas mower. I love old tractors, old dogs, and people that feel the same way! Thanks for a great web site! Jim

Pros: Reliable, value, size.
Cons: Parts are pretty expensive.

Really like this tractor---all day on less than 5 gallons of fuel; great power. I bought this as a project, took the sheet metal off. Can't stop using it long enough to paint it! Been 2 years now.

Pros: Power, fuel economy, agility.
Cons: Hydraulics leak down.

My 1910
Model Year: 1984

Bought it new and used it to mow 100 acres weekly for three years, quit the mowing business and bought a "Woods" front loader bucket and a Gannon blade for the rear have used it as my diesel wheel borrow around my home since. It has performed flawlessly even after sitting for three years without being started. The only problem I recently had was with the hydraulics. Not realizing there were two drain plugs I was only draining the transmission oil and changing the filter, the rear end sump accumulated a sludge and plugged the filter that = "no hydraulics". Drained the complete system and flushed it with diesel fuel(didn't start or run it)shook the tractor to slosh the fuel around in the trans and differential, drained thoroughly and refilled with oil changed filter and Wha La back in business. If I were to do it again I'd buy two and give one to my wife. Love my little "diesel" wheel borrow.

Pros: Everything.
Cons: None.

Good Ole' Ford 1910
Model Year: 1985

I've had this tractor for 3 years and bought it used with 1300 hours. It has been a great little reliable tractor. The Shibaura (Japanese) diesel cranks easily every time and it pulls strong for 32 HP. I've pushed up small trees and shrubs on several wooded lots with the loader as the MFWD comes in real handy. I currently maintain 2+ acres for wildlife plots, perform my 1600' driveway maintenance, and cut 3+ acres of grass along with other required upkeep for 50+ acres with this tractor. It stays busy all year! The tractor has started to show some minor leaks lately as the seals are drying out due it to being 30 years old. That something I can live with as long as it performs the tasks.

Pros: Strong engine, built solid-heavy.
Cons: No HST or shuttle shift (gears grind sometimes).

Sweet Little Tractor with Easy, Simple Features
Model Year: 1985

Let me tell you, these models are very popular for the "weekender" like me. Great on diesel, simple, straight forward operation and seemingly easy to work on and understand. Not the Mercedes of tractors but gutsy enough to come through. In the price range I could afford, a very good deal for $3500 with new post hole auger att. a plow and two rear scoop buckets. I know it is old but after buying a shop manual I realized how very simple the guts are. Engine comes from Japan which is a plus for dependability but a possible negative for parts procurement. Have been told that major parts are readily available. Dunno, I would like to get some replies to my review. Ciao.

Pros: Economical, simple, strong enough, dependable diesel or bio.
Cons: Don't need any, but parts?

Ford 1910, 4WD, 3 Cyl,

Brought this Ford 1910 today for $7,200 New Zealand, private sale. Not so sure that I got a bargain or not. Had to select Australia as the country cos NZ isn't an option but just to let you know that I live in New Zealand not Australia. Anyway, the purchase: came with a Harrows, fertilizer spreader, a fork lift, a mower, and a flat deck without the deck. Was supposed to come with a grader blade but unbeknown to the previous owner, his wife had given it away. I've Never owned a tractor before (I'm more of a digger person myself) but really keen to see what this thing can do, and I really wanted to be able to mow the long grass on the section which is how I came across this tractor cos I was looking for a mower. Will spend a bit of time cleaning the tractor up over the next couple of weeks and getting to know it. Keen to get the bird nests out of the radiator hive etc. Looking for tyres, will get a front and a back for a starter as spares for now. However not sure where to get those from yet?

Pros: Don't know yet.
Cons: My boots too big as gets caught in the throttle when getting down off.

Ford 1910 Tractor Loader
Model Year: 1984

I bought a Ford 1910 tractor loader from an older gentleman a few months ago. It came with a brush hog, straight adjustable 6' blade and a really nice Gannon box blade with rippers. The tractor is a 4X4 and came with 1710 hours. A good wash at the car wash and it practically looked like new. I bought this from the original owner and haven't had a lick of trouble yet. I've planted several 6' Austrian pines and carried and set them in with the loader and have also used it to rip up river rocks and load them in the loader. So far, I'm very happy with it and even bought a 40 container to park it in. This tractor doesn't compare to the power of my previous tractor, a Massey 65 industrial tractor, but with the power steering and sharp turning radius, I'm really enjoying it and it serves my needs. I paid $7500 for it and feel I got a pretty good deal with the extras. Oh yes, it has the tranny shift on the bottom and the one on the column which makes it easy throwing it in reverse. I think it's called the synchro 12. I also like that it has a foot throttle. The only thing I wanted that I didn't get with this tractor is a rear remote but looking at it, I can see it wouldn't be hard to put one on.

Pros: Economical, dependable, easy to handle.
Cons: For my needs, I haven't found any.

Ford 1910 4x4 tractor
Model Year: 1986

Had this tractor (2nd owner) since 1986. Been a good little workhorse primarily used to chain harrow fields, and to move material with the front end loader. Overall pretty happy with the machine, but wish I had the heavier ability with the loader. Not very tough quality, gets bent easily. Tractor spends it's life outside and doesn't seem to mind too much. Paint is faded and peeling, but she runs like a clock! I'd recommend it to a friend but with the following issues mentioned below.

Pros: Great in 4x4. Digs and digs itself out of holes no problem. Always starts, and is very reliable
Cons: Very weak front end loader. Can't lift bucket if filled with wet sand. Loader easily bent. Bad electrics regarding lights.
