1987 253 Massey Ferguson 4x4

This is an economical tractor with 4x4 when you need it. The 50hp diesel starts and runs well. Gearing is great for slow work. The 3-ph. is very strong, power steering is responsive, I have a FEL and the plumbing works well. The sitting area is a bit tight with hydraulic lines (shifters etc. at your feet). The PTO only has one setting of 540rpm. I would go out and buy another 253. They are a great tractor, enough power for my 80 acres and still fuel efficient.
Pros: Strong, fuel efficient, 4x4, heavy 3PH.
Cons: Sitting area is restrictive. PTO only runs at 540 rpm.
