302A John Deere
Great Tractor
Model Year: 1978

Just purchased. The first reviewer needs to move his review to the appropriate tractor. The 302A is better equipped. I comes standard with a super heavy hitting loader rated at 3300 lbs. lift at 28 GPM and breakout of 5000lbs. It's a real animal for this size tractor. It has a Shuttle shift transmission, floor foot throttle as well as floor diff lock. Live PTO and more. Much better equipped than the 302. Full featured with 3 point hitch and wheel weights. This is powerful and has full power steering.

Pros: Full featured, shuttle shift, floor as well as helm throttle, Joystick type loader control.
Cons: Heavy to trailer. Don't know if this is an actual con.

302A John Deere
JD302
Model Year: 1983

The tractor is actually JD302 not a 302A. The tractor has a JD loader with rear wheel weights. Will lose traction with full bucket. Hydro-static dash lever will not return to transmission to neutral every time which can be scary. My plan is to replace a bushing on the linkage in hopes it may help.

Pros: 50hp. Loader.
Cons: Difficult to find information on the JD 302.
