322 John Deere
my JD 322
Model Year: 1991

At first, I wasn't sure This was a good idea. A garden tractor with a three cylinder engine. I had owned garden tractors with single and twin cylinders. The tractor came with a rear hydraulic driven rototiller, a single stage snow thrower and a brand new 48 inch deck. I didn't need it for lawn cutting. As I time went by, I have been impressed with it. I have plowed/throw snow from many drivways. I have put in more gardens and flower beds in the last two years then I have my entire life. I am upset that any attachment painted green and yellow has a high cost. I went as far as buying a cub cadet dozer blade and fab it to fit my kwick hitch. Neat to watch mydeere push snow with a white blade with the I H logo still on. Just installed a buford bucket. works great.

Pros: cost effective , tough ( bullet proof almost)
Cons: expensive attachments

322 John Deere
Great Machine
Model Year: 1989

I am very impressed with this machine. I have several implements including the hydraulic tiller, snowblower, angle dozer blade and mid mount mower. The tractor handles all of the implements very well for example. We get a lot of snow in these parts and I have a very large yard and a 1/4 mile driveway. The tractor with the snowblower attached can go through about two feet of fresh fallen snow at about the same speed as you can walk. It takes me about 1.5 hours to clean the whole yard and the driveway and what a neat job it does.

Pros: Many for the tractor and all implements I own.
Cons: Some implements are a bit hard to attach.

322 John Deere
Deere Yard & Garden
Model Year: 1998

My 2003 Husgvarna LTH 120 began seizing when hot after years of over work, under par and basically tackling tasks it was never meant to do. So I refused to buy new at box store specs. and felt I couldn't afford dealer prod. So I was fortunate enough to just come across the JD 322 with snow thrower and 50" mid-mower with after mulcher and double bagger, at a reasonable value. It came with wheel weights, tire chains and fully serviced and I still had money left I expected to pay so I made an account overpayment on my account for some add ons, spare belts and bearings, new seat filters and mower chute and have been extraordinarily pleased. I since have added an after market 3 point hitch and a Johnny Bucket.

Pros: This machine is an absolute work horse and I love as I would a great drey.
Cons: Sometimes I question the over engineering and oft' times inconvenient shop servicing? The shop manual on CD is a little cumberson to properly find the correct chapter and verse via pdf.

322 John Deere
One Tough Cookie
Model Year: 1991

I needed a bigger machine so I sold my JD210 and bought the 322. It was a 1991 Indiana State Fair "demonstrator" so I am the first and only owner. I chose it over the 332 because I was more familiar with gasoline engines at that time. I have not been disappointed in any way... other than they don't make tough tiny tractors like it any more. This machine works year round: Mowing, plowing, some ground engaging work, pulling deadfall, clearing brush, etc. It has never failed to start. I do all the maintenance on it. So far, other than fluids, filters, lubricants, it's needed 3 sets of spark plugs, a voltage regulator, a fan belt, 2 fuel tank caps, front tires (back ones soon), a seat cover replacement, and a dab of paint here and there. It's an amazing little tractor.

Pros: It's all good. Fuel efficient.
Cons: Initial (new) cost. Some attachments now hard to find.

322 John Deere
John Deere 322 Garden Tractor
Model Year: 1987

John Deere 322, hydrostatic, 18hp Yanmar water cooled motors, two lever, Cat "0" three point hitch. Attachments: 50 inch mower deck, power flo bagger, 54 inch plow, 47 inch two stage snow blower, wheel weights, suit case weights, chains, front weight and rear weight brackets, hard cab. Production of 322 was a few months apart and thus some engineered changes which affected the new unit’s performance relating to the hydrostatic shift linkage.

Pros: Excellent quality machine.
Cons: Deck peck peeled, hydrostic shift jumpy on newer unit.

Bought it with 18 hours on it. The tires still have the nubs on it. I would sell if anyone interested.

Pros: Great sturdy machine.
