3810D Yanmar
First Tractor Of My Own
Model Year: 1980

I grew up with old Ford tractors around the house. A friend passed away and his wife offered me his YM3810D to keep from losing it to the bank. The tractor has never failed to start and never failed to complete any task that I've asked of it including our yearly half acre gardens, half mile of road maintenance, etc.

Pros: 4WD, FEL, Fuel sipper
Cons: The seat a little small, blank for extra key hard to find

Great tractor. Plenty of power. Powershift is awesome. Beware of parts availability or bad referbs.

Pros: Some parts compatibility with JD 1050, good power, nice size.
Cons: Parts availability, 3pt lift not as strong as I'd like.

Its a good tractor all around but the paint is poor and started rusting/flaking with in 3 months, had to tighten most bolts, had to replace all grease inserts, changed out loader once. The loaders are poor quality the hydraulic pump for the bucket and 3point lift isn't strong enough, doesn't lift a load of dirt good if you have something on the 3 point hook up at the same time as lifting, hoses on bucket are poorly made had to replace all of them, lights don't work the seal under the seat blew out cause of too much pleasure.

Pros: Good for small lots and light duty work.
Cons: Bad hydraulic system needs beefed uped.

I had a smaller Yanmar 2wd 1500 which was a great little tractor so I knew what more I wanted in a tractor. The YM3810D was everything I wanted and more! Got to love those Yanmars!

Pros: Built to last, very tough Tractor!
Cons: Not as modern instrument panel.
