Internatiional Farmall 656 Diesel Hydro

Old tractor purchased last year, but never used until this spring. Engine recently overhauled according to previous owner. Startup this spring was rough. Fuel filters plugged, radiator leaking and flat tires. $500 for a recorded radiator. Hopefully, this is the last of issues with the old girl.

Pros: Like the hydro for mowing.
Cons: Hydro robs power, hard to start.

Fine IH 656 Gas
Model Year: 1972

Bought to start cattle operation but changed jobs and moved so just used to disc firebreaks, bush-hog and operate a post driver in putting up fence. Always kept under cover so only problem has been rust in gas tank due to condensation and clogged filters due to rust. Strong tractor but too big now that I am retired.

Pros: Strong tractor, problem free.
Cons: Burns gas.

Model Year: 1964

Tractor runs well, controls easy to access. Had to fix brakes due to constant LH turns from wheat farming. Resealed oil cooler on Diesel engine due to old and rock hard "O"rings. Has old problems. PS takes a long time to pump up and purge air. Rpld filter, helped, pump may be week. Or may have a bad check valve. Tractor too big for mowing, spraying.
