B2630 Kubota
Tough Piece of Equipment
Model Year: 2010

Tennessee's ambient temperature ranges from -5 deg F to 106 deg F. This tractor starts well and runs strong. Only complaints are : 1. Design of radiator makes changing antifreeze difficult 2. Seat adjustment does not pull forward enough for short people to be comfortable.

Pros: Very easy to pull deck. Great power steering. Strong engine.
Cons: Seat design.

Very pleased with tractor so far. Farm ten acres and size is just right. Marked down in reliability because bolt missing from hydraulic control lever foe bucket. Simple fix but bough the tractor new should have been caught by dealer before delivery.

Pros: Good size for small farm. Plenty of power.
Cons: Could use a work light on rear.

Great little tractor, never once let me down. Used for various farm contracting: broad acre spraying, ripping for reveg. sites, slashing. Hydro transmission, ballast in tires and FEL. Put many larger machines to shame. Sadly changed over to a B2920 which in itself is a good tractor but not as well refined as the 2630 IMO. Will be doing the deal on a MX5100 tomorrow?

Pros: .
Cons: Feeling of sadness if you ever part with it.

Overall, very pleased with this tractor. Does a tremendous amount of work for every gallon of fuel. Asking tractor to be a "jack of all trades" machine. R4 tires are a compromise and it shows in certain situations. Really like the hydrostatic drive--even for heavy work e.g. plowing, tilling, pulling very large logs. Would rate it all 5s except for: build quality-a little too much plastic; features-no draft control; performance-so close to a "5" for only 26 hp, and it is so maneuverable you can put it almost anywhere! Value - good value, but Kubota brand a mite pricey; Reliability - a solid 5 this thing doesn't let you down! Dealer experience - a "4" might be generous. Well, their main objective is to put their tractor in your field and your money in their bank account. Not really such a bad deal. If B2630 meets your criteria, buy one! You could do a LOT worse.

Pros: Super reliable, fuel efficient, very agile and it sounds good!
Cons: No draft control.

Great tractor, but I wish it had more power
Model Year: 2008

The Kubota 2630 has been great for me and does all the things I need (hauling firewood, grading my 2 mile driveway, landscaping etc.) I really have no complaints, but it sometimes works to too hard for some of the tasks, particularly when going up hill. In retrospect I miss the extra power a slightly bigger tractor would have. The backhoe goes on and off and 3-pt. hitch conversion is pretty doable, once I got used to it. The quick attach front loader set up (I switch between front loader and fork attachment all the time) is very slick. All in all a good value.

Pros: terrific machine, easy set up and conversion
Cons: not quite as powerful as I'd like

B2630 tractor loader backhoe
Model Year: 2007

I bought this tractor new for about $22K. It came with the LA403 loader and the BH75 backhoe. I live on a steep one acre beach lot in Juneau, Alaska and have used this tractor for trenching; grading; hauling and placing gravel, sand, and rock; snow removal; and moving heavy stuff. I bought a used 3-point two-stage snowblower shortly after I got the tractor and also bought a pair of official forks that required hooks to be welded onto the top edge of the bucket (I recommend this style of forks). I had to replace seals in the bucket dump and curl hydraulic cylinders due to early inexcusable seal failure. Other than that, no other issues at all. Mechanically, it has run without problem for me and I would say I use it pretty hard. I very much like the size and capability of this machine. I chose the right tractor and recommend it as a good choice.

Pros: physical size, ease of use, power, versatility
Cons: headlights are pretty much useless because they shine on the back of the bucket.
