F22D Yanmar
Well Built Machine
Model Year: 0

It runs a 5-foot brush hog with no problem and will climb a tree. A great value for 4,000. I wish I had a front-end loader, but could not pass up the deal. It makes life much easier for me since I have owned it.

Pros: Reliable, easy to operate, easy on fuel
Cons: A little light in weight and top heavy

F22D Yanmar
Great for Camp
Model Year: 1986

Wanted something not valuable to keep at hunting camp to Brush Hog fields, maintain food plots, and move dirt. Found this in 2004. Delivered to my door w/loader and tiller w/950 hours for about 9K! It has been a great time saver and investment. Spins a 4' brush hog very easily, pulls a 5' disc well. I added #300 of weight to rear wheels and loaded the rear tires and its still a little light in the rear. wish it were a synchro-mesh transmission.

Pros: Pros: starts every time, reliable, powerful, maneuverable, fits inside shed w/5" door, fuel efficient, multiple PTO speeds.
Cons: Cons: very little info. about it, too lightweight in the rear, high center of gravity and could use wider rear wheelbase, seat is on the small side, um?

F22D Yanmar
F22D
Model Year: 1985

Lack of info on the net makes it quite difficult to alter things on this. Thread sizes are randomly metric or imperial. Most filters easy to get. servicing easy as oil drain points are painted yellow. My poor thing hadn't been serviced in years, yet runs perfectly, if a little difficult to start (probably blocked injectors). Hydraulics powerful and good flow. Turning circle incredible. difflock, 4wd and good articulation make it unstoppable. I'm 6 feet tall, 32" inside leg, and its just a little bit cramped. Removing the box around the gear lever helped.

Pros: Maneuverability.
Cons: A bit small for western bodies.

F22D Yanmar
Yanmar F22d Has Served Me Well
Model Year: 1986

I bought it over 11 years ago and still using it, but am planning on moving up into a bigger Yanmar. I am sold on the brand and will ride with it!

Pros: Great little tractor for getting into/out of tight spots.
Cons: Could use more power at times.
