My craftsman was given to me by my son. He's not too mechanically inclined, so when the little things going wrong mounted up beyond his comprehension, he passed it to me. Maybe two hours later I had it mowing like it was new. Carb adjustment and new battery is all it took along w/oil and filter change. I've had it for about 4 years now and it has development an oil sucking problem. Have that under control w/a new breather reed. Still runs like new.

Pros: Easy to operate and work on.
Cons: Deck could be built a little tougher.

Only time will tell. Considering it is a used GT3000 of (as yet) undiscovered age, it runs quite nicely so far. There are a number of little bits to check and repair but everything is working, except the little spinner-thingy on the bagger which is supposed to indicate when the catcher is full. Does not seem to want to spin. More WD-40 is needed obviously.

Pros: Big and sturdy construction it appears.
Cons: Large than expected turning circle.
