Good Old Riding Mower

I purchased this unit used on E-Bay. It ran good for several years then started having engine problems. I found a used engine on line and it has been pretty good up until now. Time for a re-build. The JD 165 is a well built machine and does an incredible job.

Pros: Powerful for 12.5 hp.
Cons: Grass catcher is not the best.

Old But New
Model Year: 1987

I debated buying a new unit vs. an older one and found a great deal on E-Bay. Brand new the unit cost $3,200 (I actually have the original paperwork), and it still runs like a top, just needs a little TLC to get her back in shape. If I were to replace it, I'd replace it with a new JD 300 series tractor. I can still get parts, and just love the quality.

Pros: Powerful and easy to maintain
Cons: Its old! I think they've made a few improvements since 1987.
