Kubota L4430
Model Year: 2004

This has been a great tractor all around. I use it to bush hog a 10 acre field 6 or 8 times a year. The main use is to pull logs from the woods and use the loader with forks with my portable sawmill.

Pros: Great tractor.
Cons: None.

Blown Engine at 1000 Hrs. with Fresh Oil
Model Year: 2004

What more need be said? No sympathy from Kubota. Rear main bearing went out with a bang and a puff of smoke. Excellent dealer support, however. Good tractor in most ways, though. Engine got a lot stronger as it broke in. New engine still kind of weak. First bad experience with Kubota.

Pros: Lots of good features and had been quite happy with tractor until...
Cons: Engine blew up.

Nothing but praise for my 4330. I bought this used, but in like new condion with only 350 hours on it. I have used it to do a bit of everything and it hasn't let me down yet. I plow snow, grade the driveway, dig post holes, etc. with it. Last year I used it to run a 1/4 mile of fence and bush hogged/plowed/disked/planted 6 acres of ground. After chainsawing a bunch of large elm and cedar, it is used to remove and stack the trees. I have been very impressed with the engineering and quality on this tractor. I found one hole that had been misdrilled on the FEL, but it is cosmetic only. The FEL is strong and the amount of rear weight is the limiting factor in what you can lift. I tend to keep equipment a long time if it is reliable, and this tractor will probably outlast me. I researched and did a ton of homework to fine a decent tractor, and found that the Kubota is an excellent choice.

Pros: Excellent build quality.
Cons: Expensive.

Replaced my NH TC33D with this machine what difference 10hp and 1000lbs can make. The skid steer quick attach bucket is great. So far I'd rate it a 8.5 out of 10.

Pros: All steel sheet metal no plastic.
Cons: Smokes more at start up then NH.

Great Tractor
Model Year: 2004

Kubota makes a great tractor but they are a overpriced. I am not sure there is another manufacturer that makes as good a tractor so they still have the lead. My tractor is very adequate for what I do---primarily area shredding and some dirt work. When it comes to dirt work I would like more capability in terms of capacity and lift. I have weighted rear wheels so that helps but the bucket will only pick up so much. The hydrostatic transmission is really easy to use and is user friendly.

Pros: Design, reliability, ease of use.
Cons: Bought it without some options that I'd like to have now.

Machine has been absolutely trouble free and dependable since the first day purchased. Power is adequate at PTO. Traction with R4 tires is amazing as long as it's not deep mud.

Pros: Dependable, economical to run, very easy to work on.
Cons: High purchase price.

Love My Tractor
Model Year: 2005

After owning a Kubota 3010 for 5 years and 2800 hours. I bought the 4330 it's a good machine it does however seem a little under powered at times. I use it for a wide range of applications from fine grading lawns to baling hay.

Pros: HST.
Cons: Fuel use.

I Got the Kubota Flop
Model Year: 2005

At 200 hrs my "90" series backhoe had to have all of the seals replaced at a cost of 3k. At 700hrs, a crack in the rod seized my motor at a cost of $6,700. At 702 hrs, A seal on top of the backhoe arm is leaking again. I would NOT buy another Kubota in my lifetime. My dealer experience started off as "horrible" in the early years and has went to a "good" relationship now. Kubota themselves was a no show early in my ownership when my seals were junk. Maybe I got the only lemon, maybe not. My next one I will be going with another manufacture.

Pros: The tractor is pretty good when it is not breaking down.
Cons: When this tractor breaks, it is expensive and Kubota will not back you at all.

Reliable and Tough
Model Year: 0

Purchased new and have had overall a very positive experience. Perfection, no, but 900 hrs later, most of the issues relate to the operator rather than the tractor. This is my 4th and largest by far, Kubota. Ergonomics have been improved on the 40 series. 30 series cab is pretty tight for a large framed/taller operator, and using brakes is awkward with the HST pedal right in front of brake. Super UDT ridiculously expensive. Quick attach has been unreliable and has required lots of implement modification to keep things attached. Quick detach is more to the point. Amazing traction with ice chains. Wish Kubota would offer some protective options for hard use use in the woods.

Pros: Typical Kubota reliability/good compromise between fuel efficiency and power.
Cons: Parts prices, fender clearance with chains, tie rod boots.

KUBOTA L4330, The Best Power Tool I've Ever Used
Model Year: 2007

Bought it in 2007, with all the usual add-ons, an hd bucket, bush hog grader blade, industrial fork lift, and 6' mower. moved 60 felled trees up to 30" diameter, tons of lumber cut from same, several hundred yards of soil of Kubota to anyone with similar needs. And rock dug post holes drove steel posts w/ bucket, plowed much snow from a 1/2 mile driveway, cut acres of brush and grass, and have not had a single problem. Change oil and filters often, and keep it sheltered, but work it like a rented mule most of the time. I'm glad that I elected to get a 4 cylinder engine, as it is smooth, strong, and and very flexible. All needed on my very steep hilly property. I would recommend this class.

Pros: Strong and reliable (see my comments).
Cons: None of any consequence.

Pros: Heat/ac cab.
Cons: U.S. models should come with front fenders.

Ok
Model Year: 2006

I'm 6'3" and was concerned about where the gas pedal was placed but it isn't a problem and the cruse control allows you to take your foot off of the pedal over a longer distance.

Pros: Easy to use.
Cons: May not have enough power for some of my steep hills.

L4330 Kubota
700 hrs later
Model Year: 2005

The tractor itself is good overall. I have a small rubber boot that needs to be fixed on the tie rod (minor). The B90 backhoe I have is junk in all the wrong areas. The seals were replaced after 300 hrs at my own cost because Kubota would not pay for it or warranty it. At 700 hrs, my seals on the backhoe are leaking again - junk! The dealer experience has also been horrendous in all areas. When I do it again, I would go to another manufacturer. I want to love the Kubota, but I am so disappointed with the backhoe and dealer. F.Y.I., I am a homeowner and not a contractor :)

Pros: Tractor is a hard worker.
Cons: B-90 backhoe is garbage.

glad it's gone
Model Year: 2004

Hey guys, im going to tell you the truth about my experience and let you decide for yourself about whether Kubota is worth your time and money. I bought the tractor new and after growing up on a farm with REAL tractors i was highly disappointed in the pulling power of this tractor. It would barely pull a 2 bottom plow and a 6' rotary tiller would bog the tractor in anything over 2nd gear. It is made for LIGHT landscaping and thats it. Anyway there is alot more to the story but im out of space. Oh and when you have a problem with your tractor.... they will not stand behind it.

Pros: had a loader
Cons: under powered and built very light

I bought this tractor a little over a year ago and I have had absolutely no problems and no regrets so far....it has done everything I asked of it and I can't imagine that I could be happier with a brand new one....runs and pulls great and has soooooo many features that I would have to have later....853 fel/ extra remotes up front and rear/ nice top / brush guard /

Pros: low hours/good price/plenty 'o features
Cons: haven't run into one yet...

L4330 Kubota
Kubota L4330 GST(manual transmission)
Model Year: 2003

My setup has the LA853 loader with skidsteer type quick attach. It also has 3 factory optional remote hydraulic valves in back. The removability of the loader is exceptionally easy so I take it off to mow in wooded areas. Fuel consumption is moderate, the engine is quiet, and you can run the tractor inside the barn briefly without smelling much diesel exhaust. This tractor easily handles a 6 ft Woods Brushbull, both from a power standpoint and weight distribution standpoint, even when the loader is off. There is no vertical exhaust stack, which is a nice feature when mowing around low hanging limbs. The GST transmission is nice for shifting or changing directions without grinding , even without using the clutch. There have been no major problems and the annoying features are minor: The 3 point hitch lift lever is often out of reach while you are turned toward the rear of the tractor. (makes grading awkward) The folding ROPS takes unacceptably long to change over because the tethered bolts cannot be turned by hand once they are "loosened". The seat bottom is tilted forward enough that you feel like you will slide forward (but it can be modified with some effort). Overall, I am pleased with this tractor.

L4330 Kubota
So far so good
Model Year: 2005

Puchased the L4330HST optioned with the 853 quick attach loader, 2 rear remotes, and the BH90 hoe. Overall I'm very happy with the machine. Using it the way I do, I don't think I've ever wished it was larger...but at times I've liked to have it smaller. (tight spots in the woods) a smaller B is next on the wish list. The only things that bugs me about this tractor is the seating position, (have not gotten around to fixing it yet), the headlights are mounted to low for running at night with the loader in the way, and Hydro pedal for reverse is a pain, (I use my toe under the forward and pull up) I think the 40 series pedal is alot nicer. If the reliablity continues I'll be very happy.

Pros: Quality and reliability
Cons: Lights, seating position, and HST pedal

Not too big and not too small
Model Year: 2004

GST trans, tractor has paid for itself many times over. We have used it on the ranch with 853 loader, 4 way bucket, box scraper with top and tilt. Has been bullet proof and has worked very hard. Six foot rotary mower, big heavy rod/grapple bucket is handled by this tractor which are both tests of tractors abilities these are heavy attachments. Pats quick attach on 3 point hitch really help change attachment with minimum of work needed.

Pros: Bought the tractor from Lampson Tractor up at Ukiah, CA and really appreciate having had their help.
Cons: None

I love this tractor, I wish I would have payed extra for the cab. That is the only reason I would get rid of it. It is used for cutting about 7 acres and snow removal on a 1300 ft driveway.

Pros: Good dependable tractor
Cons: Fuel fill location a little high
