I bought this well-used mower for just a few hundred dollars thinking it would get us by for a couple of years until I could afford a BX Kubota. Well, it is still plugging along mowing 2 acres every week or to and pulling a 1/2 ton trailer with ease. Ours has a 50-inch deck which is starting to rust out and has required some welding from my wife stepping on it to get off and on. I have replaced the starter motor and battery which were both shot when I bought the machine. The motor has tons of torque and seldom bogs down. Gas consumption is about 1.25 gallons per hour.

Pros: Price, weight (heavier is better), dependability
Cons: This thing needs to die so I can justify a new Kabota to my wife

This is one tuff lawn and garden tractor. The 16 HP moter is way better than any of the 20 to 30 HP moters available today. It always starts and always works even with the poor quality of gas that we have for use today. Simple motor, rugged construction of the tractor and every thing still works today. How many newer mowers can still say that. I use it for mowing and garden work. I have a rototiller that I pull behind it, along with a plow, disk, and drag. This tractor never fails me.

Pros: I want another one.
Cons: Have to look a litte harder for parts.
