Worst Purchase I Have Ever Made

The tractor had 1 hour on it and the motor issues started. I have had the tractor in 6 times for repair and three weeks after the last repair its going back for the 7th. The tractor will not run for more then a few hours at a time before the same issues arise: low horse power and a bad smoking problem. I think they have replaced almost every electronic part on the tractor. I'm told by the dealer that Mahindra knows there's a problem with my model but have not been able to fix it. The worst part is the repair shop is a 4-hour round trip. I bought the tractor because I did not want a headache, I could not have been so wrong. This tractor has cost so much of my time and money. I would not recommend this tractor or brand to anyone. I don't even want to give it 1 star because the tractor has not run good for more then a few hours since I have had it. This is a nightmare that won't go away.

Economical Tractor
Model Year: 2000

I bought a Mahindra because it was the best value for the money. It doesn't have the features high tech provides, but I consider it more reliable and easier to repair and maintain. I have 500+ hours on it now, and have only one complaint, it shifts hard. Sometimes I have to shift the shuttle to neutral to change gears while rolling.

Pros: Good fuel economy, ease of maintenance.
Cons: Hard and binding shifting, low end torque could be better.
