Yanmar 2310D
Model Year: 1981

I really wanted a tractor with a live power take-off system, but I couldn't pass up the great deal I got on this tractor. The tractor had been sitting for approximately 18 months and it started right up without any hesitation. I have put around 20 hours on it and have only had a few minor issues. I expected that due to the age. I have only used 1 of the 4 power take-off speeds and don't know that I'll ever use the others, but it's nice to have just in case. With a little TLC, I'll have a great tractor and I would highly recommend Yanmar tractors to anyone that doesn't mind working on equipment themselves.

Pros: Powershift and easy to work on
Cons: Some parts may be hard to find

I have owned this tractor for about 2 years. It had been parked in the weather for many years so the sheet metal was quite rusty, it has a slasher & loader bucket and is very handy machine. We recently had a visit from friends with 6 & 7 y.o. sons and while we're chatting with the parents the sons were busily playing on my tractor. When I eventually got around to needing to do some work with her I found the ignition key on and the battery flat. Battery charger fixed that but then I found that everything with a handle or a knob had been moved. Now I can't remember the positions of all the levers etc. So the hydraulics now won't work, the oil level in the tranny seems to be correct.

Pros: Powershift, easy start, nice to drive.
Cons: Lack of information for repairs & operating instructions.
