Hello There! I have a Cub Cadet RZT50 Kawasaki that I cannot start. The model number on this mower is 17AA5D7P756. With the key in the ignition and turned I get no 'click', no lights on the small "dash", and the proofmeter/clock does not come on. The battery is good, I checked it in another mower (Craftsman) where it started fine. I also took the Craftsman's battery out (which starts the Craftsman and is relatively new) and tried it in the CC, same result.

What and where do I need to start to check? I was told by a friend to check the wires on the parking brake, but good gracious they are difficult to get to, and not sure where they lead to (6 of them). Where can I find a wiring diagram for this thing?
Thanks,
Dukester

Make sure the PTO switch is off and the steering levers are fully out.

Here's the wiring diagram.

Thanks for the diagram - brake is on and seat is down and levers are outboard. What to check now?

PTO is off too.

First thing to check is the 20 amp fuse that feeds power to the ignition switch.

I forgot to add that I checked that...sorry. Fuse is good (continuity).

You'll have to start tracing where you have power and where you don't.
1) Make sure the ground cable from the battery to the frame is clean
2) Check for 12+ thru the fuse to the "bat" terminal on the key switch
3) With the switch on do you have 12+ at the "run" terminal of the key switch
