Well, I should start out by saying that I'm embarassed it took me so long to find out the issue. I purchased a 3320 with a new 300x loader in late 05. I bought it from a dealer in kentucky and had it delivered to my home in Ct for 2k less than any local dealer. I wanted the 300cx loader but already had the 300x ordered and installed so I was too late to make the switch. Well I began using the loader and noticed that it seemed loose during operation. I consulted the manual and tighted the quik park latches. That seemed to help the problem. Eventually I located a dealer that treated me right and ordered a 448 from them. Now the whole machine was stil under warranty and I asked them to look at the loader and told them about the loosening and the said they'd look into it while they installed the hoe. So I got it back and was told me they had adjusted it. So the issues continued to occur and i called the dealer to get it looked at. I was also going to have lines added to run my grapple. A few days later I got the machine back with more talk of adjustment. Eventually the loader loosed up again while loading a screening plant I had rented. So here on TBN a post about the same type of issue I was having with a 300cx. I of course looked into the situation again. The post indicated that the dealer had put the mounts on backwards. So I of course assumed that there was no way two dealers and several trips that they wouldn't have noticed that the mounts were on backwards. Well today while doing some maintence I decided to check the manual on the loader. Can you guess what I found? The **** mount were backwards. I just amazes me that a dealer could miss something like this. It almost seems you need to check everything these days to ensure you don't get killed buy shotty work!!

WOW! You would think JD would stamp a L and R into the mounts! You should call the SM at dealer who missed it just to inform him...

Can't believe the local dealer wouldn't price match. Might not make a ton on the orig purchase but the come backs are very important. Now the new owner is upset with the dealer and the dealer doesn't get a chance at service or additional attachments. And they complain business is bad...... it all relates back to customer service and follow up calls to make sure everyone is satisfied.
This is why I ended up with blue for my 55 hp compact.

Know what you mean. I went over my 3720 cab tractor upon delivery and found: 1) front fenders were not installed correctly, 2) side mirrors were not installed properly, 3) roof seals for A/C and heat were damaged several places (suspect when radio was installed), 4) MMM was not adjusted/leveled, and 5) horn did not work.

Can you post some photos or a link that will take me to some photos of what to look for. I have a 3320 with 300x loader also.

THANKS

Look HERE for Jason's post that has pictures. This is the first time (I think) that we had heard that the mounts could be swapped.

Deere makes such great products. It's a shame to see them messed up by techs that don't know what they're doing.

I see that I am not the only one that has dealer issues. It looks like to me that JD needs to have a better training program for their techs.

If the assembly manual is detailed, the tech should be able to follow it to correctly assemble the components and make them work as designed.

It's not just Deere all major brands seem to have these issues. I expericance the same senerio with my Ford superduty. The shop I bought if from didn't have a diesel tech that was worth a penny. It was always the same issuses that weren't being fixed correctly. I changed dealers an found good diesel techs and problems solved. Quality control is non existant in these's companies. It seems to me that it takes alot of time to earn a reputation and only minutes to lose it.

I had a similar but easier to solve issue.
When my 3720 arrived at the dealer, they mounted the 447 backhoe. It was there for a bit waiting for some other parts to arrive so I went down there to have the salesman show me how the new hoe mounting works. He couldn't get it to mount with just the 3point, as advertised so he said he would have the shop take a look at it. He called me later and said
they adjusted it, but he said the tech told him they always just use the hoe hydraulics like the older subframe mount.

When I got it home I had troubles mounting/unmounting the hoe. I realized the 3-point wasn't adjusted correctly and the adjustable mounting plates on the hoe mount were not set correctly. Now it works just fine, sigh.

Worse than that...the 3point lever was bent and was rubbing against the fender. It was really hard to move. Yet the service dept didn't notice. They were embarrassed when they came out to replace it. :)
