I've cherry picked a lot of ideas off this site, thanks to all, and this is my solution to the poor headlight position on a BX tractor when using the loader (could be used on any tractor though). The only time I really use the loader in the dark is clearing the driveway in the winter. No chance of rollover on my drive so I'm not worried about things flying off.

Due to everything going up in price and my paycheck staying the same I have to use what I have and thus this simple solution...AND IT WORKS GREAT!

C clamps were free.
2x4s were in the scrap pile.
Wiring, switch, inline fuse, and light were left over from my Jeepin days.

Simple....run the positive through the switch and inline fuse to the battery.

Run the ground.

And...let there be light!!

Just an idea that works for me. Hope it helps others that don't want to weld on their ROPS.

Heck no! You gotta measure brother. :D

Measure twice....take out the garage (or light), never.;)

Hard hat is optional.;)

Really though, they are far enough back that I can even have a good stretch while in the seat and they don't come close.

Mount some magnets on the bottom of the 2x4 to get rid of the c-clamps.

You can magnetize that light mount by wrapping an insulated wire around it several times like you did the C clamp, then touch each end of the wire across a battery. Careful! Just tap the wire, there will be sparks! In fact, I bet you run that light enough, the C clamp will become magetized the way it is now. Wrap as many coils of wire as you can tightly like wrapping a hose on a spool for example. The more wraps, the better the current through the wire will magnetize the iron in the light fixture. I magnetize my screwdriver blades using that method and it helps keep a screw on when installing in a blind spot. It's free and there's nothing cheaper than that. Ha!!

Fish....I love the magnet idea. Think that will be the next mod. I actually have some old trailer towing lights with the magnet/lights that I will sacrifice for the powerful magnets. Great idea!

Skipro3...I bow to you. Not gonna lie, you're way over my head on this one.

i used a harbor frieight $4 magnet on mine (similar to your's)

you could use an old speaker magnet and just drill a hole down the center of it (usually free)

3582 Case 2X3 Light Bracket

Try this bracket from messicks. It's made to clamp on your ROPS no drilling. They have a couple of sizes. I have my lights mounted this way. But I'm at work tonight.-Shawn
