$1.44 WOW It will take us months to get that low.

Chris

I know what you mean pennwalk, I traveled back home (through Harrisburg PA) last weekend and on rt 11 and 15 I got gas for 1.99. Around me it's was still 2.09. It's amazing cheaper gas further away from the distribution center. I don't get it.

Although our diesel out here in Southern CA is still hanging around $2.50, the regular gas has finally dropped to $1.99. We are still lagging behind the other states, but that is the lowest I've seen it for many, many years out here.

We just got back from driving from PA to Denver, CO. The lowest price for premium was in Higginsville, MO at a Pilot station, $1.699

Since I don't use premium, I don't pay any attention to that price, but regular is $1.589 several places around here as of the last couple of days. I did notice a sign at a truck stop about 20 miles from here yesterday with gas at $1.699 and diesel at $2.599.

I had predicted that gas prices would come down to $1.49 before they start going back up but ours is now as low as $1.49 and I have to change my prediction to $1.33. I hope I am wrong again and have to lower it more. :):):)

I think I'd just be satisfied for you to be right, but I saw something in the news earlier today about oil prices going back up.

Be careful about saying things like that. Once a rumor gets around that gas prices are going up, people start purchasing gas and oil futures in order to make a quick profit, and this drives up the price, which makes more people buy futures, which drives up the price more, which makes more people.........

The so called experts really need to have some sort of disclaimer next to their title showing how many predictions that they have made that have actually come true. How many months ago were these same experts telling us how oil was going to be $200 a barrel and higher? I don't know if they are just wild guessers who some how get on TV with their predictions, of if they sit around all day looking at the computer screen trying to figure out what they can say that will get them on TV. Either way, they are usually wrong, and if one of them actually guesses right, he's wrong the next time.

There is not shortage of oil, there never has been a shortage of oil and those who keep saying there is are doing so to create panic and/or to support an alternative agenda that will benifit themselves. Just look at the global warming scare. It's pretty much been debunked, especially with the latest news that they were lying about the tempature readings, only reporting shrinking ice fields but ignoring growing ones and NASA's reports that the global tempature peaked in 1998 and after a few years of holding steady, has been declining. The "experts" who are making money off of this are comeing up with anything they can to make more money, but fewer and fewer people are listening.

Just last week, scientist in England have concluded that we're actually heading for a global cooling period. How cool will it get or how long will it last is the real question. It seems the sun is responsible for the tempature on the planet after all!!!!

There is so much oil out there that most of it is just sitting without any wells on it pumping it. If it was all drilled and used, the price would drop to nothing. As long as those controling it can limit the supply and the media continues telling us how we're running out on the front page, nobody is going to read in the back pages of all the new discoveries.

Check out this site:

Global Warming Hoax: NASA Revises Temperature Data - 1930's warmest on record!

There is growing evidence that NASA's data about 1998 being the warmest year was false. It was actually 1934!

I'm no conspiracy theorest, but it feels like this claim is pretty solid.

Nate,

Interesting website. I like how the provide links to support their position, and how they reach their conclusions. One of the first hints that Al Gore was making this all up was his claim that the polar bears were declining. Of the 14 regions that polar bears are found, one has declined, but the other 13 have almost doubled in numbers. There are so many that the US delisted them as threatened and allowed them to be imported into the country when hunted in other countries. Now, under political preasure, they have closed off the imports of them again because they said that their numbers "might" decline in the future if global warming proves to be true. WTF??

Concerning the 1930's, it was really driven home during Katrina and that hurricane season. Everyone on the TV was blaming global warming for the hurricanes and how bad it was. Then a few mentioned that it was the fifth worse season on record. The other four were in the 1930's. Also known as the Dust Bowl Years. Then we started noticing on the local news that almost every high tempature record for that day was set in the 1930's.

With just a small amount of common sense, it became very clear to us that it was allot hotter on this planet in the 1930's then it is today. Realizing that, then it only makes sense that the planet has been cooling since then. How do you relate this to the increase in the populations and use of oil based products since the hottest decade on record? I've often wondered what would happen if Al Gore and his flunkies went back fifty years instead of 100 years for their claim about how the planet is warming. If you only go back to 1950, then there isn't any increase from the previous fifty years, hundred years of even thousand years. The past fifty years have been cooler then the previous fiftey years. Go figure?
